Hi, I'm Tom

I'm the founder of TN Fitness, a Personal Trainer, Sports Nutritionist, rugby player, former chef, husband and dad of three.

Like many of the people I work with, I know what it's like to juggle fitness around real life.

Between family commitments, work, shift patterns, injuries, social events, and everything else life throws at us, staying healthy isn't always as simple as the fitness industry likes to make out.

That's exactly why I created TN Fitness.


My Story

Fitness hasn't always come easily to me.

For years, I was the skinny guy who struggled to gain weight and build muscle. No matter how much I trained, I couldn't seem to make the progress I wanted. Like a lot of people, I spent time chasing quick fixes, following conflicting advice, and wondering why things weren't working.

Eventually, I realised the problem wasn't a lack of effort. The problem was a lack of understanding.

Once I learned how to fuel my body properly, train with purpose, and focus on consistency rather than perfection, everything changed.

That experience shaped the coach I am today.

I don't believe in shortcuts, extreme diets or punishing training plans.

I believe in building habits that fit your life and deliver results you can actually maintain.


What Rugby Taught Me

I've played rugby for over 30 years and continue to compete today.

Rugby has taught me lessons that go far beyond the pitch:

  • Discipline beats motivation.
  • Consistency beats perfection.
  • Preparation creates confidence.
  • Small improvements add up over time.

Whether you're an athlete looking to improve performance or someone simply wanting to lose weight and feel healthier, the same principles apply.

From Chef to Nutrition Coach

Before becoming a Personal Trainer, I spent over a decade working as a chef.

That experience gave me a unique understanding of food and nutrition.

I know healthy eating needs to be:

  • Enjoyable
  • Practical
  • Affordable
  • Sustainable

You won't find bland meal plans or unrealistic food rules here.

Instead, I'll help you learn how to make better choices, enjoy your food and create habits that work for the long term.

Because the best nutrition plan is the one you can stick to.


Why I Started TN Fitness

I started TN Fitness because I was tired of seeing people being sold unrealistic expectations.

The fitness industry often makes people feel like they need:

  • More supplements
  • More restrictions
  • More cardio
  • More punishment

In reality, most people need the opposite.

They need guidance.

They need accountability.

They need a plan built around their life.

And they need someone in their corner who genuinely cares about their success.
